Tester guide
This is an invitation-only test build. Features, layouts, and test data may change. Never share passwords, Plex tokens, reset links, authentication cookies, or private server addresses.
Getting started
Create your account with an email address you can access, open the verification message, and sign in. Tell the administrator which email you registered with so closed-alpha access can be assigned.
Connect Plex
Open My Libraries, sign in with Plex, approve the connection, choose an available server or library, and run synchronization. Comrade uses synchronized movie metadata for its features; playback remains in Plex.
Plex connection troubleshooting
When Comrade finds the Plex server but cannot securely reach its libraries, log out and back into the Plex app, switch Plex to a remote connection, return to Comrade, and sync or refresh Plex again. Also confirm that the server is online and that Settings → Server → Remote Access reports it as available outside the network. When normal Remote Access is unavailable, Plex Relay must remain enabled.
What to test
Test registration, verification, sign-in, password recovery, Plex synchronization, Search, Randomizer, Watchlist, History, Cinema Profile, Watch in Plex links, mobile layout, empty states, and readable error messages.
Error codes
Include the complete code when reporting a problem. RND-1001 means no synchronized Plex movies are ready in the selected scope. RND-1002 means no movie survived the active filters. RND-1003 means the local movie cache could not be processed. RND-1004 means the feature is temporarily disabled. PLEX-40001 means both the advertised remote endpoint and Plex Relay timed out.
Report a bug
Include the page, exact steps, expected result, actual result, visible error, browser, device, and whether the issue repeats. Remove private information before sharing screenshots.
Do not include: your password, Plex token, reset link, authentication cookie, full request headers, or private server address.
Account help
Use Forgot password when you cannot sign in. Use Settings → Change password when you know the current password. Account deletion is permanent. Contact the administrator when access, Plex identity, or account status appears incorrect.
Known alpha limitations
Comrade is Plex-only for connected movie libraries. Cinema RPG and Comrade AI may remain unavailable. Product access is assigned manually. Background synchronization, payment automation, and final visual design are not part of this alpha.
